The Talking Book Podcast is the official podcast of the weirdo audiobook publisher Talking Book. Every episode we talk to an author, and hear an excerpt from their audiobook.

Episode 2 features the cool as a cucumber Brian Alan Ellis. His new novel Something To Do With Self Hate is out in print from House Of Vlad and in audio from Talking Book June 20th. We also talk to the writer Mary Moore, who narrated his book.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Brian Alan Ellis runs House of Vlad Productions, edits the literary journal Tables Without Chairs, and is the author of three novellas, three short-story collections, a novel, and a book of humorous non-fiction. His writing has appeared at Juked, Hobart, Monkeybicycle, DOGZPLOT, Heavy Feather Review, Connotation Press, Electric Literature, Vol. 1 Brooklyn, Lost in Thought, Diverse Voices Quarterly,The Collapsar, Talking Book, People Holding, Literary Orphans, jmww, Third Point Press, Queen Mob’s Tea House, Hypertext Review, and Atticus Review, among other places, and was also adapted and performed by the Buntport Theater Company in Denver, Colorado. He lives in Florida.
